Ahsan joined Ketley Miller Joels in May 2020.
Before working in law, he worked as a TV producer and made award winning documentaries for leading broadcasters such as the BBC, ITV and Channel 4.
Ahsan qualified as a solicitor in 2016 at a city firm. He has solely practiced family law ever since and represented a diverse range of clients.
He has extensive experience in complex and high value financial claims arising from the breakdown of marriages and civil partnerships. His cases have involved companies, trusts, investments and other assets in this country as well as other jurisdictions.
He has expertise in drafting pre and post-nuptial agreements.
He also advises on financial claims arising from the breakdown of relationships between unmarried couples, including financial provision for children and disputes about the ownership of property.
He has a network of professionals who he collaborates with when his cases need it, including leading barristers, forensic accountants, valuation experts, tax experts and lawyers in foreign jurisdictions.
He also advises in children matters relating to contact and relocation and protective orders such as non-molestation and occupation orders. He is experienced in dealing with these issues in combination with financial matters and managing the difficulties and pressures faced by clients with multiple facets to their case.
Ahsan works collaboratively with clients to find the solutions and strategies that fit them best. He has a particular interest in non-court dispute resolution which can provide a final outcome more quickly and more cost effectively than court. He provides clear, straightforward and practical advice aimed at settling matters but is also a litigator experienced in preparing cases for trial.
