Out of court resolution is often a complicated matter to navigate. Knowing whether your family dispute is one that should be resolved in a court or not is difficult, particularly in a potentially emotionally fraught situation, as family disputes often are.
Whether a dispute about financial matters, or arrangements for children, it is very likely an individual in this situation will first call for family dispute solicitors, or a court. - affects the wellbeing of both children and parents.
Sir Andrew acknowledged the need for people to access the courts where there are issues of safeguarding. The court can make orders to protect a vulnerable party and ensure that a case proceeds in the safest way for that person and any children involved. For other cases there are a number of options outside the court process that can offer people a better alternative to find solutions which in Sir Andrew’s words:
“In the end it is not a legal issue it’s a relationship problem they have”
