Family law solicitor Laura Brown

Laura joined KMJ in October 2015 after working for nearly 9 years in a leading West End firm.

Laura specialises in all aspects of family law and has experience of divorce, financial relief including substantial asset and international cases involving offshore trusts, emergency applications, commercial/company tax issues, children matters, including leave to remove and Schedule 1, cohabitation and property matters and pre and post-nuptial agreements involving multiple jurisdictions and instruction of foreign lawyers. She provides clear commercial advice on both a legal and practical basis. She has authored articles published in New Law Journal, Private Client Business, Butterworths Law Leader, Trusts and Estates Law and Tax Journal. Laura was instructed in the leading reported cases of Whaley v Whaley [2011] EWCA Civ 617 and Thiry v Thiry [2014] EWHC 4046 (Fam).  She is a qualified collaborative lawyer and a member of the London Family Solutions Collaborative Pod.  Laura has won awards and recognition with City Wealth leaders list, Chambers UK, Legal 500 and Power Women. Laura is a member of Resolution.

Clayton spent five years working in family law with a firm in Australia before moving to the UK in 1999.
